Certain foods are powerful (I'm looking at you pizza and chocolate.)
They cast a spell over the most well-meaning dieter, and cause logical people to overeat until their sides hurt. They occupy your thoughts to the point of obsession as you try to ignore a plate of sweets. And when it's all said and done, they accumulate on your body in the most obtrusive way as a result of dozens of unused calories. Why does food hold such power? And, most importantly, how can you control your eating? Find out below.

Have you ever wondered how some people are able to maintain amazing bodies while you struggle with your weight?
They make it seem so easy to achieve and maintain results. What do they know that you don't? When you boil it down, the answer is quite simple. The missing link between you and your ideal body can be your motivation. For most people reckless snacking derails their healthy diet, leaving them frustrated and overweight.
Do you eat a healthy lunch only to succumb to the vending machine an hour later? I've got good news for you, if you do. If you've ever wished that you were more motivated to experience life at your full potential then this is for you.
Most of us set goals and work hard only to find our motivation fizzle out after a couple of weeks. But there are little tricks that will help you harness the power of your mind and propel you toward achieving your goal. How many of you struggle with "making time"?
It's one of the things I hear most often from coaching clients (and potential ones). "I'm super busy. I don't have time to eat right or exercise." Your doctor feels like a broken record.
That's right - he's sick and tired of telling you how important exercise is to your health because YOU DON'T LISTEN. Did you know that the grocery store is the source for most of your unwanted pounds? Well, that and the fast food restaurants, but we'll leave that for another day.
Whose fault is it that you're out of shape?
If you go by what you hear in diet ads then you believe that it's anyone's fault but yours. The big diet companies think that if they put the blame on you, then you wouldn't buy their bogus pills. So they put the blame on your cortisol levels, your modern diet (i.e. fast food), or your busy schedule. But let's be honest, where you are today is based on a lifetime of decisions that has lead you to where you are today. Good or bad, you're the result of your decisions. Are you struggling to get that six pack? Is it even worth it? (That's a question for a different time...) If your goal is to get that summer six-pack, it's important to focus on the right exercises. We've all heard the cliche: "Abs are made in the kitchen." and that still holds true. No matter what ab exercises you're doing or how many, if you have a layer of fat around your belly hiding all that hard work, it won't matter if you're doing 10,000 crunches a day. And speaking of crunches...let's not.
