Your doctor feels like a broken record.
That's right - he's sick and tired of telling you how important exercise is to your health because YOU DON'T LISTEN. Whose fault is it that you're out of shape?
If you go by what you hear in diet ads then you believe that it's anyone's fault but yours. The big diet companies think that if they put the blame on you, then you wouldn't buy their bogus pills. So they put the blame on your cortisol levels, your modern diet (i.e. fast food), or your busy schedule. But let's be honest, where you are today is based on a lifetime of decisions that has lead you to where you are today. Good or bad, you're the result of your decisions. I bet you could agree that weight loss can be an extremely frustrating pursuit, often eluding even those who eat healthy and exercise. So what gives? Why won’t the scale budge even as you put out tremendous effort?
Read on for the 7 reasons that most fitness and health food lovers don’t lose the pounds that they want to… Excuses are a dime a dozen and we all have them. We could all come up with a million reasons as to why we're not exercising. But the number one lie people tell themselves? Can you guess?
The number one lie people tell themselves as to why they don't exercise is that they don't have time. At least that's what they tell themselves. I'm here to tell you that's pretty much nonsense. Summer is on the horizon, and with it at least three straight months of parties, barbecues, eating too much, sweet indulgences, and missed workouts.
Then the holiday season will begin with Halloween and end with New Year's Eve and before you know it, you'll be 5, 10, 15 pounds heavier than you are today. Ugh. No thanks. Can you relate to this scenario? After putting it off for too long, you commit to get fit—only to find yourself injured the minute you start working out. Yes it sucks.
Given the weather and time of year, there's a good chance that you'll find yourself in a bathing suit sometime this month. If you are like most people then that realization will 1) bring a grimace to your face and 2) will motivate you to lose some weight. Wanting to lose some weight and get healthier is certainly commendable, but be careful to not believe all the bs out there.
Have you ever acted against your better judgment? Ummmm, of course you have. We all have. Sometimes you do things that you later regret. And this keeps you from achieving that lean, healthy, sexy body that you want.
It happened to me, and chances are it's happened to you too. That moment when you realize that it's time to do something about your weight.
