With the holidays over and football season (and all the alcohol and junk food that goes with it) behind us, it’s time to get serious about your health (if you haven’t already). This is a great time of year to get back on track if you’ve made New Years resolutions and sorta gave up on them. Starting today will give you a great head start for the Spring (and on the rest of your life).

The New Year isn't too far away but why wait to get what you really want? What if today was January 1st?
What if today you had a clean slate with a brand new year spread out in front of you, filled with endless possibilities. Everyone loves a good snack. But what defines "good"?
If your stomach starts rumbling and lunch is still two hours away, you might need a snack to make it through the day. First trying drinking a couple of glasses of water. If you're still hungry 30 minutes later, by all means reach for a small snack... Jon Gabriel was stuck.
At nearly 410 pounds, he had tried every diet imaginable – with no luck. No matter what approach he took to lose weight, his body would fight him, and he would inevitably end up heavier than before. Then one day he had a light bulb-over-the-head "ah-hah" moment: Far too often fitness is presented as complicated and confusing.
Nothing could be farther from the truth. Being fit comes from building healthy habits and sticking with them on most days. If you've ever lost weight, you know how hard it is to keep it off.
Ever wonder why some people are able to keep weight off, while others put it right back on? Read on for the 7 Secrets to Maintain Weight Loss. (And if you still have pounds to lose, these 7 secrets will help you too.) Exercise regularly? Watch what you eat? Stay away from sweets? Read health and fitness articles? (Almost) never - ever - eat fast food? Good for you.
But you're also super busy and your life is hectic. It's this very "busyness" that's probably impeding your efforts to lose fat and build that lean healthy body you want. Here are some of the most common reasons busy people fail at fat loss. Read on and see if any of these apply to you. Certain foods are powerful (I'm looking at you pizza and chocolate.)
They cast a spell over the most well-meaning dieter, and cause logical people to overeat until their sides hurt. They occupy your thoughts to the point of obsession as you try to ignore a plate of sweets. And when it's all said and done, they accumulate on your body in the most obtrusive way as a result of dozens of unused calories. Why does food hold such power? And, most importantly, how can you control your eating? Find out below. For most people reckless snacking derails their healthy diet, leaving them frustrated and overweight.
Do you eat a healthy lunch only to succumb to the vending machine an hour later? I've got good news for you, if you do. How many of you struggle with "making time"?
It's one of the things I hear most often from coaching clients (and potential ones). "I'm super busy. I don't have time to eat right or exercise." |
